Old School Images listings & Web-site update...

Just wanted to say "hey!" and show the guys some new photo's I added recently and I have my web-site under construction. It should launch later this summer! Email me at oldschool.images@yahoo.com if you would like any size copies of these or any other players...over 1300 images now on board from 1960-1990--with the bulk from 1972-1982.

    You have some very nice photos there, DGF...did you get them licensed because I would like to know how you did it because I have original film of Mantle in the 1960 World Series I would like to get licensed by MLB.

    No licensing necessary at this point. I am no threat to photo-file. I purchase the majority of my stuff from free-lance photographers as well as magazine photographers and team employees, etc. I purchase copyrights with them. Are you worried MLB would take time out from their schedules to investigate the origins of your Mantle film? I don't understand.

    I had contacted MLB regarding the license for duplication of this film. Their response was that it was property of MLB and could not be reproduced, especially for resale. In their response, they did not give me instructions to apply for the license...I wrote back asking for the instructions but they never responded. I have been at a loss with what to do at this point.
    I dont know if they would take the time to give me a problem but I didnt want to take the chance...All I could think of is having to get a lawyer and pay fines.

    Nice photos!! Good to see that they're still coming in. When are you going to be in Highland Park for the art shows? Thought I would stop by since I live in Libertyville.

    Since you live in Libertyville, you really should get a private showing of the archives. I think you will enjoy it--I hope so. If you would like to set up a time to meet just email me at oldschool.images@yahoo.com. I have thousands of images. I will not be attending the HP show as I am so busy organizing images I just don't have time for it. I just obtained a huge collection of Atlanta Braves (my favorite team) from the team photographer as well as a handful of unreal originals of Brett, Murphy, and private shots of Jeter as well as Kenny Lofton with the Astros his first day in a MLB uniform. The Braves stuff is truly spectacular as well. The kind of stuff you see in the best magazines...some of what I bought has been published. The years range from 1978-1993...just spectacular shots of Gant, Chipper as 20 year-olds, etc. There are 98 new slides to be scanned and balanced--so I'm busy!
