clueless ebay seller

This guy is selling a 1957 ted williams card, #44/80, "ted signs" for a starting bid of $900. The description almost makes you laugh if you don't think about the poor guy that ends up winning this auction.

"1957 Ted Williams card # 44/80, 'Ted signs'. this card is autographed by the splendid splinter himself. This card comes with COA, and is in EXCELLENT condition. Ted's long time friend and publicist kept one set for himself and the second was put into circulation by Topps. This is one of two cards in circulation from the original set"

I'm not on ebay any more so I can't write to help him out, maybe somebody can?

I just bought 80 or so 59 fleer ted williams cards from Goose (great deal, thanks again John!) and I was looking to finish the set. If I find what I want I'll get somebody to bid for me.

I'm not on ebay because I messaged somebody that an auction was a fake with a stolen scan, and the guy I messaged was a shill bidder. I had notified ebay twice about the same auction with no response. Figured it was worth the risk, and I lost.

I emailed the seller suggesting some corrections he might want to make to his auction.....he responded with a thank you and said he would be amending the auction...............I see he has made some changes.......

Curious what risk? They kicked/suspended you because you notified a bidder of a fake auction? If so I should zip it as I act like the FF police telling many people of fake auctions they bid on or mislabeled PSA versions or people labeling a $2 version as a $20 rare one.

That's it exactly. They call it "auction interference". It doesn't matter that I was right and I sent ebay a picture of the same card/same psa#, in a current heritage auction that was not ebay.

When they suspended me and offered to reinstate me in 14 days if I wrote an I'm sorry, won't happen again letter, I told them never mind.

I'll buy on ebay from people I know/trust by having my mom or my racing partner bid for me, but that's it. There's a list of maybe 20 or so sellers.
