I have used eye-glasses tissues. Basically they're designed so that they don't scratch the lenses, and they don't leave little fibers on the surface either.

I have a boatload of chromes or high gloss cards that have light scratches or lines that look like they may have been done by the rollers when the sheets come of the press?

Does PSA nail ya for that?

They hit me pretty hard for that-- I don't know what everyone else's experience is like. .But I've submitted quite a few Finest, Bowman's Best, etc. with those very faint scratch marks and they always either come back an 8 or a 9.
One thing about the ultra-modern stuff is that you really, really have to take your time and go over each card. Hold it up to the light, carefully loupe it, etc. If you don't do this you can get stuck with a bunch of $.99 slabs which just take forever to move.
This brings up an even better question. Say you have a chrome card that's perfect in every way. Then you take your thumb and leave a big fingerprint on it, then submit it. Will PSA knock it down, will they give it a 10 anyway and slab it with the print, or will they wipe the print off before slabbing it so their Gem Mint slabs don't look like crap? I guess it would depend on the grader.
they would nail you for it i think.. over time the oil from the fingerprint could stain the card, making it no longer gem mint.. plus it looks like crap

I agree. I do however make sure its 100% cotton so I dont scratch them up. I used my breath and the rag on two cards in my last sub and they both came back 10's
