2 Quick Questions

1) Will a TPG'er open a proof set to grade the coins? I don't want to damage the coins by mailing them in flips.

2) Is it unusual to have an error coin in a proof DCAM set? I have a Lincoln that has a die crack running from the "ST" in TRUST through Lincoln's hair.

I was informed to leave them in the proof sets, one time.
When I was ready to submit and did, I took four PERFECT (in my opinion) Lewis and Clark Proofs out of the coin and pouch set, put them in the flips and sent them off, as per instructed by customer service via a phone call.

Just be careful.

Mine, delightfully, all came back PF69.

on the second question: Is the die crack designation worth the fees for ERROR GRADE ? You'll have to ask yourself that question, and as far as rarity in a proof die ? I think that is pretty significant.

What kind of Proof set? What is the date. If it's a brand new proof set it may not be worth the cost.

As long as you're submitting all the coins, leave them in the original holder when submitting them.
