Just got my grades from the 1964 - present special. You know how you are at work and on a lark decide to check PSA to see if results are posted and wow!..an average day just got better. Turn around time was about 1 1/2 weeks...very, very good. I was a little disappointed because I figured about half of these submissions (not counting the last 3 that were sent in for a friend) would get 9's. But I was pleasantly surprised by a few results. The 1965 Murakami RC got a 9 and as most of you know he was the first Japanese player in the majors and thus his RC is quit valuable. Also the 1968 #4 AL RBI Ldrs and #520 Lou Brock were popped out of PSA 8 holders and came back as 9's. A couple years ago I got a submission back that was really graded tough and I have had some luck in resubmitting those that I think are outstanding cards deserving of a 9. Most of these cards were picked up at card shows in the last year so those 9's are still out there waiting to be found and capsulated. By the way, the miscut (1965 WS Game 4) is simply larger than most 1965's and probably doesn't fit in a standard holder....at least I assume that was the problem because it is the largest 1965 I have ever owned. The 1965 Drabowski is narrower R-L than most 1965's but I have seen some holdered that were similar so I figured it would be OK..alas, I was wrong.
