That's a nice set, but it is worth anywhere near $5k? I thought most common 9's went for $5-$10, and the big rookies, maybe a total of $600? None of the 10's he has are key cards. I'd be interested in the set, but he'd have to come way down.

The PSA 10s have been selling in the $50-$75 range. The lower pop ( 1/3 ) PSA 9 commons sell between $15-$30, and the mid to higher pop cards sell between $5-$12.

The population exploded in the previous 3 months - the number of PSA 9s and PSA 10s have doubled since I've started my set (around 26% complete). Because the market has been saturated with mass EBAY listings by 4SC, VintageRookies and Simsclassicsports, the prices have been lower than normal. The SMR article indicated there were no PSA 9s or higher with card #1 ... now there are (3), however, there's still only (1) PSA 9+ Checklist.

If you breakdown his current buy-it now price, the average card value is $37+. He is accepting offers, however, I would estimate that a $3k price tag would generate the most interest? Unopened boxes are sell pricey.

I think there was an article about this set in SMR just recently too. Maybe this is the reason there seems to be a little more interest.
