Why wouldn't these coins be in the $1 type set?

Tell me why these coins aren't in the registry dollar type set. I don't see how you can have a complete type set without having these.

1883 Hawaiian Dollar
1900 Lafayette Dollar
1835 Alaska Rural Rehabilation Co Dollar

All produced by the US Mint and legal tender.

  • As I understand it those are special issue coins just like commemorative issues and not considered general circulation coins.

I can understand special issue like the Lafayette commem, but the Bingle and Hawiaiian are no more special issues then the Gobrecht, which is included in the set.

Then you would have to add the Phillipines 1 peso from the eraly 1900s.

I would agree to add the lg and sm Philippine Peso to the dollar type set. It wouldn't fly in that it's a Peso not a Dollar.
