Dealer Trouble? My Mementos, Toledo OH

Just a question, has anyone dealt with this guy? I received an alert from Ebay saying this dealer's current listings removed, and his trading privileges were suspended. Along with warning to not complete any transaction outside Ebay. I contacted the guy, he said someone hijacked his account, don't worry, I will receive my item (Drysdale RC). I don't feel very positive about my situation, but hoped someone here had a positive thought.

Are you sure about your facts ??? The "suspended" word, I have not seen from eBay ! This is the standard reply....Please be aware that the following auction-style listing:

    Item Number - xxxxyyyyxxx Item Title - BGS 9.5 OPC 1984-85 iippyyxx RC W/10 & 3x9.5s RARE

has been removed by eBay for violating of one or more of our policies. Any offers or bids placed on this auction-style listing are now null and void. Because the auction was ended early, you as a bidder are not required to complete the transaction. Since this is a listing violation, the seller is free to relist the item in the proper format. Should you wish to do so, you are free to bid on the item again if it is relisted.

Please review eBay's Listing Policies and User Agreement at the following locations:
My focus, 1970 Topps Baseball Raw and Graded, pre 1989 PSA Hockey and 1933 INDIAN GUM ! Yikes!!
  • Poppie, Thanks for the response, but the facts are accurate. The notification from ebay came via personal e-mail and via Ebay's message center. The auction had been concluded on May 26, warning came on June 6. Checked his listings, none listed, and my completed auction was even removed from my "won" list in "My Ebay" section.

I've had that happen a few times, and it's always worked out fine. Ebay tends to shoot first and ask questions later, so I've seen accounts suspended for suspected shilling (two partners had long since gone separate ways, but not in ebays eyes), outdated credit cards (for ebay fees), hijacked accounts, and some trivial matters.
I'm sure this will work out fine.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Griffins, Thanks for the encouraging words.

  • 55in88,

    Your question is really confusing?

  • jayezee65

OK, I was getting the name from the title.

He could had been suspended because he didn't pay his selling fees.

Then again... Why is all of his listings private? Hmm...
  • What part is confusing? My original question was "Has anyone here dealt with this dealer before?"

    Where is the seller's name?
  • Only name I have is My Mementos (That is how I made out the USPS Money Order) at his request.

  • I know, but you then started talking about ebay. Which I can see why Mark used the ebay name My Mementos. Then you can back with his real ebay name.

  • Just an update. I filed a complaint with USPS for not receiving merchandise,( I payed with USPS Money Order) two days later I receive note from Ebay saying that they are sorry that I am having trouble with my auction. They then ask if I have called the seller, and checked to see if my e-mail and address info are correct!! Ebay is the one that sent the note telling me to do everything possible to get my money back, the seller is no good!! Is it possible that my complaint to the USPS triggered this message?
