Good Morning, I am new to this board and I do not know very much about collecting coins, but I do have some coins that I have been saving for a while. I do have a few coins that I would consider in good condition, meaning you can read the dates and the features are clear. I have a few Mrecury Dimes in my small collection. 1939, 1945, and I have a couple others the dates are pretty good, but the eyes are not so I think I will need to get a magnify glass to be certain. I also have one that is not great, but you can still read the date, 1917. I have one question, you mentioned "S" where would this be located. I see a letter, but I am not certain if it is "S". Like I said I am new with coins. I do not know how things are done here so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Good morning and welcome to the boards, Tom.

The mintmarks on Mercury Dimes are normally located on the *reverse* on the left side of the stalk or what it might be, or just right after the "ONE" in "ONE DIME" on the reverse.
