can the SAME Marino autographed ball be sold twice on ebay?

I emailed the ebay seller about this, but no response yet:

two different auctions with the same, authenticated autographed football???

the current auction

the completed auction

please note the PSA/DNA certificate number in the photographs????

something strikes me as being a bit strange here, folks.

They sell closeout type items and usually have huge quantities available. I'm sure this is just a case of them using a stock photo.

  • I agree with Dabighurt.
Plus, it's also possible that the original winner backed out and the item is now being sold.

I reached the eBay seller. Indeed he says he had several of the balls and used a "stock photo." I asked him for the PSA number for the current auction and he said he will get it for me tomorrow when he can look it up.

I must admit that on the "coin side" we run into a similar problem -- using stock photos for generic items such as "MS65 Morgan Dollars." It would be helpful, and proper, if sellers would identify their photos as being the exact item or representative of the item when the seller has multiple examples.

    thanks.
