1st submissions received 6/5 - nervous and excited

Man this waiting stuff is like checking your lottery numbers or running downstairs on Christmas morning when you were 8. I am by no means a dealer or anything hardcore - just collecting for the passion and thrill of it all - as much as my budget allows anyways (which ain't much) I submitted the following cards (thinking and hoping I made the right call) Nothing fancy, but I am anxiously awaiting grades....

1960 Topps#73 Bob Gibson, #200 Willie Mays and #10 Ernie Banks
1962 Topps #30 Ed Mathews
1948 Leaf # 106 Lou Boudreau
1957 Topps # 215 Enos Slaughter
1958 Topps #424 Larry Doby
1964 Topps #300 Hank Aaron
1958 Topps All Star #487 Mickey Mantle
2006 Topps Black Refractor LeBron James
1961 Topps #375 Ken Boyer (good shot at a 9 - think)
1955 Topps #12 Vern "Jake" Thies (see above)

Best of luck on your grades. What submission timeframe did you send them under? Are they the free ones you get for joining? If so, you shouldn't have to wait long for them.

If this is your first submission ever, just a word of warning. Most of us are a little disappointed by our first submissions, it takes a little time to develop an eye. If that's the case, don't get discouraged. Hopefully I'm wrong and your grades are through the roof. Let us know when they post!!

    Best of luck, and image

Don't be nervous-- just calmly resign yourself to the idea that everything will come back at least a full grade lower than you expected. Then, once you've had all your hopes blown out of the water, we'll send you our charter membership card image

Oh-- and welcome to the boards! Hope you find them entertaining and informative.
