What's a fair shipping price?

What do you think is a fair shipping price for one PSA card?

How about each additional PSA card?

We are talking about selling on ebay and other sites?

What's the highest you have ever paid in shipping fees for one card?

  • It depends on the card and how bad I want it. I figure the shipping and handling into my maximum bid. If I am willing to pay 10 dollars for a card and shipping is 2.00 I will bid 8.00. If the shipping were 8.00 I would bid only 2.00. I have paid as much as 10.00 S/H for a card that I got for 1 cent due to high S/H. I turned around and sold it the next week for 25.00 and 2.00 S/H.

I see that quite often. Buyers will avoid sellers who pad shipping costs to avoid ebay fees and in the end the bids are real low,if any. I too have picked up cards cheap that way.

The bubble-mailer, the postage, the interior-packing material,
and the Delivery Confirmation, bring the delivery cost to about
$3.00. (That counts the shipper's "time" at ZERO dollars. And,
if the shipper uses private insurance, he has to pay the premiums
    on that, too.)

I would say $3.00 to $5.00 is a reasonable charge for one
and two cards, respectively. Ideally, if I am the buyer, I want
to see as many "add-on" services included in those prices
    as possible; insurance/delivery-confirmation. (Obvioulsy,
    such "add-ons" are seldom seen.)

On auction items, my shipping runs from "FREE" to $5.00 on
U.S. purchases. That includes D/C and insurance.

On store items - usually, but not always stuff that I just want
to get rid of - I offer FREE shipping, w/DC and Insurance. I do
this even on really cheap stuff just to blow it out.

As part of a "business model," "FREE shipping" really only
works if the item(s) sell for more than $50.00. It also works
best if you can "combine" several items in the same package.

All that said - and realizing that most folks are very concerned
about shipping fees - if a seller's fees are "not ridiculous," I
    will buy from him/her.

I once bought a BIN for 99-cents. The listing said "contact seller
for details;" I did not contact him. After the sale he sent me a
bill for $11.99. I PayPald him. He sent the item in an envelope with
a 37-cent stamp, and left me pos fb. He must have emailed me
five times wanting to know why I did not leave fb. (I watched
some of his listings for the next month and he was "explaining"
why his past shipping fees had been so high: "I was just trying
to get back some of my eBay and PayPal fees and to make up for
some items that sold too cheap." He only lasted a couple months.)

  • I typically will charge $2.25 for shipping/delivery confirmation if it is a low (under $15) priced card, and $3.00 if it is above $15.00 for shipping/insurance/delivery confirmation. Cards always shipped in a cardboard coffin in a bubble mailer.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
