I completed my 12 Piece Gold Registry Set with a nice upgrade today (it's my icon coin)
I bought this 1889 G$1 ANACS MS64 for $1,100 on eBay and I couldn't see why it wouldn't be a 65
I submitted it raw using my free 90% complete Registry Set submission and PCGS gave it the 65 it deserved!
The price guide shows a jump from $1,465 in MS64 to $3,500 in MS65 (it was $3,800 yesterday) so that was a nice score!

Date Shipped: 06/05/2006
The 12 piece set is an expansion of the 8 piece 20th Century Gold Major Design Type Set I did in MS64
Maybe one day I'll upgrade the two other $1 Gold coins, but the $3 Princess AU50 has sentimental value so I probably won't do anything with it.
Thank you ANACS and thank you PCGS

Nice!
Is that a bit of die clash on the reverse?
I got it back today - I don't see any clash, but it looks good in a 65 holder
