Hello, new to boards and new submission

Hi all,

Been lurking on these boards for a couple months and figured it was time to say hello. I got back into collecting a year and a half ago pretty much because I found the Clemente Master set and have been enjoying it ever since. It's perfect for me as I love the odd ball/hard to find type of cards. I'm also looking for another new set or two to start on but just have not clicked on a set yet.

I also just got back a duo submission im still freaked out about. The best by far I have ever had. I'm still in shock but I put a lot of time into finding the right cards to send in. All were purchased raw on ebay )

Clemente is a great one to collect.
Looks like you did very well with those hand cut Post cards.

Clemente is one of my favorite collectables. I don't get into the odd-ball stuff much, but that is a nice little lot!!! Welcome aboard. How about this one?

Did you cut out the Milk Duds card yourself? Nice work and welcome.

  • Hi thanks for the warm welcome. I love seeing any old clemente, thanks for the photos. When I was a kid going to card shows in the early 80's thats all i could think about was finding his cards. I'm #3 on the clemente master and working hard finding any upgrade, not sure I have the budget to get any higher but I will continue to upgrade my set because I love collecting them.

Yes I think the milk dud was the biggest surprise. The card had great color and centering but had a bad cut but all the lines showed so I took a chance and trimed it up proper and wala. Having had lots of bad luck in the past with cut cards I was thrilled. Granted a lot of the credit goes to my new trimmer, I took back the first two I used and bought a good one, wow was that worth the money. The post cards were also cut from sheets I found.

Still stumped on the 70 super, looks the same as a PSA 9 I have, figured at worst it was a 7-8 but a 6 ouch, I have had zero luck getting any of these graded.
