It's all good in my opinion just depends on how big of a risk you are willing to take with some of the years. Personally I like to limit my risk and maximize potential of pulling the "big one". You need to know which years and which unopened product is going to yield the highest quality cards. Rack Packs should yield the most desireable cards as far as high grades, But sometimes buying racks from years where the quality stinks is costly. I can tell you some years I have done well with and leave it at that, One thing I can tell you is Always buy from reputable dealers and try to buy unopened cases if you can. Some of the years I have done well with from the 70's are 75 BB,FB, Racks and Cellos 78BB,Fb Racks 77 Fb, Racks(Done well with Football but not Baseball) I have also opened a few wax boxes from the 70's, In my opinion the quality of the cards in wax packs depends alot on how the cards were stored. I have opened a few where the gum destoyed every card in the pack and some where only one may be sacrificed. You also may want to know that a lot, and I mean a lot of the 70's stuff is terrible as far as quality is concerned. 74 Football is very tricky on centering as well as the 79 Baseball. I am sure others here can tell you which years they have had success and failures with. Let us know what you decide, and Good luck !
In my opinion, nothing is good. You can get such great deals on graded 8 & 9 material, that it makes little or no sense to bust unopened at their ridiculous prices.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
I think the most underrated scarce product is 1977 Topps Football. Wax boxes are very tough to come by for some reason, and the last one on Ebay topped $1000 if I remember correctly...
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy! Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
I dont think it is that Scarce but it sure has went up in price the last months ! About this time last year i could get a wax pack for anywhere from 18 to 20 bucks. Now they are 25 to 35 bucks.

Financial sense is not the only sense! Can't put a price on the thrill of the case for a "10" though!
