Something for the darksiders...
Back in the 50s and 60s Whitman Publishing produced many books on world coins. This is a printing plate used in these books. The earlier plates were nailed to the wooden blocks and had a base of lead between the plate and the wood, later the plate was nailed to the wood without the lead. In the 60s the plates were just glued onto the wood blocks.

Actually, I have a bunch of darkside plates I bought from a dealer in Racine WI (where Whitman Publishing was). I have about 100 plates that I'm going to start putting on E-Bay.
