New #1 ATF in two 1971 Hockey Sets....

As I know it will be a short reign at #1 on these two sets I just feel that I need to get some proof for the ages that I really was at #1 at one time. By posting it "in writing" my stint at the top will be validated for all time.

Sorry Bob, but I just had to do it, but at least I waited until after the awards deadline to unseat you from #1 so you will have the 2006 award that your set deserves as your set is .40 GPA above mine, just a smaller completion %.

Here are the two sets.....
1971 Topps Hockey
1971 Topps Hockey Boston Bruins Team Set

Those two sets can be added to this one....
1970 Topps Hockey Set

Sorry to toot my own horn, but these sets were assembled through some hard work, and contain many of my own submissions, as well as some really nice cards that were bought already graded.

Thanks for looking, good luck with all your sets, STEVE.

  • Congratulations on being number 1!!!! I justed started the 1971 Boston Bruins set and for a small set will be difficult to complete. Great job. I pushed really hard to have the number 1 1982 Boston Red Sox team set and fell 1 card short of the 85% requirement all because someone did not delete the card from their registry and thus, I was not able to add it to mine. Enjoy being number 1!!!

    Steve:

Congratulations and...get a scan of Turk Sanderson up there! That handsome devil deserves a scan just for leaving his car on the expressway (running) and sprinting to the garden to make the start of a game he "forgot" about. Not to mention all the nights at Daisy Buchanan's. God bless the Big Bad Bruins!

It is kind of hard to believe in this big world filled with hockey loving Canucks that the top two 1971 sets reside within 15 miles of each other in Massachusetts. Just a coincidence, but a strange one.

I knew it was only a matter of time before you passed me up. image Seriously though I know how hard you worked over the last year to upgrade. That a beautiful set.

    Way to go!!
