A few years back, I was at a cardshop with my friend and I stupidly bought a pack of UD cards where a GW jersey was guaranteed in each pack for $30. The Jersey was Kerry Collins. I was pissed so I bought another. The jerseywas Kerry Collins. The running joke was that all I had to do was buy 300 more packs and I could put together a complete Kerry Collins jersey. I guess this guy actually did it. Wow.

P.S.- for my 30th birthday this year, my firend gave me a Kerry Collins Jersey.
  • haha.. i love the part where the auction says:

THE CARDS WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION AS THEY ARE PRETTY CUT UP TO WHERE I FEEL THEY CANNOT BE RE-INTRODUCED INTO THE TRADING WORLD WITH FAKE PIECES IN THEM

ok.. so if they weren't cut up to the point of being ruined, she would have no problem putting fake cuts back in them.. wow.. i hope she gets the bird flu image
  • He had this up around Christmas time I believe--it was much smaller though. Looks like he's been busy making it bigger. I remember a handful of Ebayers gave him a hard time, which ended up in his q and a for the auction. I remember one guy asked him if the jersey could be worn, as his kid was in little league and needed all the help he could get to play great.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

That jersey looks like crap. I wonder how much money all those cards are worth? I'm glad there's no Reggie Leachs on it image

Good entertainment though, thanks Knucks image

I hate GU cards anyhow. Who would ever think that this is a good idea?

Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

  • The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.

    Knucks

    Thanx!

I went into a shop in 1992 in San Antonio - called Stats - he had a pair of Jockey's on the wall with J. Palmer's auto on them!

Like I would want to display this? Skids and all?

Maybe Upper Deck offered him a bunch of money for it so they could save time having to cut up more.. image

I could understand if he put so much time into it for himself to have, because god knows I've collected stupid crap, but he did this so he could sell it and take a major loss? I could care less that he destroyed hundreds of soon to be worthless GW cards, but why would he do this knowing he'd lose money? He had to have known there's no way somebody's paying $1000+ for the stupid thing.

  • Hell, if he had put them on a Rickey Henderson Padres jersey he would have a buyer right now. Now those beautiful Hall of Famer jersey cuts are contaminated with Met germs.

Henderson was a Met was he not?

  • Yeah, but I am a San Diego fan and hate the Mets
  • $1,250.69 - the STEAL of the century

My only question when doing a "Best Offer" why squabble about 69 cents. Why not just do a round $1,250?
