Even though I said I didn't want to - I did it (10th Anniversary Eagle 1995W)

Woke up this morning and found out that I indeed won the 1995 W 10th Anniversary Set I'd been bidding on. It even ended up a couple hundred shorter than my max bid. I had expressed concern earlier regarding buying something this expensive on eBay previously but did a little research on the seller and everything I saw and heard checks out. Also, I purchased this with a credit card which was another thing I wanted to do with a purchase this large.

I had seen a couple other sets through other correspondence and all were within a few bucks of what I paid for this.

I may be crazy. I may have paid too much, BUT, I have a complete Eagle Set now, once I get this and I'll bet it'll be worth a lot more in 5 / 10 / 20 years.

I'm excited. Right up to the point when my wife finds out.

John

"But, but honey......I saved $30" ............. Think that would ease the sting when my wife finds out?

Fortunately, I've had remarkable success in the investment biz. I made a small fortune on Apple Stock last year and I'll tell my sweetie it's an investment and to trust me, and you know what? I think she will. I also think I'll have to take her shopping but I think she will.

About a year and a half ago this set was going for $4000.00. Amazing that the price has not stabalized and keeps climbing in value.
