There are more 75 sets registered both in completion rate and amount ..but that set has only 660 cards..................71 has the second most sets registered and more cards ( 752) in the set.

My guess would be 71, 75, 72 in that order

What got me thinking about this was the 1977 article in SMR and this it was the least popular. I wonder if the reason 79 and 77 are on the bottom is because of the centering issues with those years.

  • '71s and '75s due to tough, colored borders, eh?

Very attractive years, that for sure.

    Cool thread, Sting. Thanks.
  • Sorry. Cool thread, ZEF.
  • I would say 1970 as that is my favorite from that decade.

I would have guessed 78, and then 75 - but I am not surprised to see my old friend the 79 set near the bottom. If you ever want to drive yourself crazy submitting cards for grading, try submitting some 79's. It's the toughest set (of this era) to pull 9's and above from.
