I don't know the population reports on similar coins, but I do recall that when I lived in Korea 20 years ago I never saw such a coin in circulation; most of the circulating coins were merely a few years old, maybe 10 and they were always beat up.
.....GOD
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
Filam, Korean coins are also another hot item after Russian coins. Trust me, try to find high quality coins and you are going to find yourself in real trouble.
I have been looking for some examples but I foudn them to be very difficult - to look for Korean coins minted before 1982 any higher than MS65 seems to be quite difficult these days.
Very interesting. I wonder why. Comparative coins in the Philippines from the 50's and 60's with lower mintages are readily available in high grades for a dollar!
