    I don't know the population reports on similar coins, but I do recall that when I lived in Korea 20 years ago I never saw such a coin in circulation; most of the circulating coins were merely a few years old, maybe 10 and they were always beat up.

  • Filam, Korean coins are also another hot item after Russian coins. Trust me, try to find high quality coins and you are going to find yourself in real trouble.

    I have been looking for some examples but I foudn them to be very difficult - to look for Korean coins minted before 1982 any higher than MS65 seems to be quite difficult these days.

    Very interesting. I wonder why. Comparative coins in the Philippines from the 50's and 60's with lower mintages are readily available in high grades for a dollar!
