    The best and easiest answer is FINE by British standards. By US standards, it becomes more problematic because the strike is obviously typical for the date... the coin was never fully struck up to begin with. Having said that, it might be in VF20 range. I don't know what to say about the counter mark, but I would not discount the grade for its presence

    The main thing I was interested in was the impact that the fleur countermark on the reverse would have on the value of the coin. Anyone know what this countermark might mean?

    I don't know Aethelred... I like it but I have no idea how tough that countermark is. I have never seen one on a 6d from this or any reign
