1986 Fleer wax box rip

I ripped a full box of baseball this weekend; 4, 5, 6 packs at a sitting. I busted the last few this morning and, on the last pack, pulled the Canseco rookie. It's probably an 8 or 9 as the centering isn't dead on, but I thought I'd share this card that came in the second-to-last pack. I guess it could have been called "Oldest and Youngest Active HOF Shoo-ins":

doc gooden was a bad mofo for a couple of years and pete rose possibly the most desirable teammate to have out there battling day in and out.

Does anyone watch ESPN's Stump the Schwab?
They recently had stuff on guys like Gooden:
If I remember correctly Gooden was the youngest to:
1. Win his debut ML game in the NL.
2. Be an All-Star.
3. Win 20 games.
4. Win ROY.
5. Win the Cy Young Award.
What a shame this guy messed up his life - I wonder how I would have handled that kind of attention?

If I can pat myself on the back for a moment, I was actually on Stump the Schwab last year. Made it to the second round before tripping up on a question about Nick Van Exel. Awesome experience!!
During the intros, Stuart Scott introduced me as "he has a collection of over 500,000 baseball cards - yo dude, get a life!" It was good entertainment. Here's a picture of me with Stu and the Schwab....
I think I remember the show?
Very cool!
IMO, the Scwab is incredible!

Thanks! Yeah, the Schwab is really incredible. I had a bunch of friends that were convinced that it was rigged and he was being fed answers, but I don't think so. I look at how much I know about trivia (which I think is a lot), and consider that I might spend an average of an hour a day watching sports. Then consider that this guy has spent 8 hours a day, every day, for 20 years, researching sports. Anyone is going to end up racking up a ridiculous amount of knowledge doing that!
I ended up stumping him by outlasting him on a figure skating question, which of course my friends won't let me forget. I can't beat him on the baseball or basketball ones, but I do on figure skating. I can't win!
don't get a life, you already have one bro!
stuart scott needs to get that wandering eye fixed... 1 time!!!
