What would this 72 grade?

And more importantly, is it within the centering limt for an 8 if the grader thinks its an 8?

Technically, the centering is there for an 8, but even with the rough cut, I think you'd be looking at a 7 at best because of the bottom corners combined with the centering.

Centering would pass for an 8 barely...............I do not think I have ever seen a rough cut on three sides like that..............That card being one of the toughest in the set would be worth submitting..an 8 is a $60-$100 card.

    Hi Zef

I have been collecting the 63F set for 2 yrs and I've seen many, many 8s with centering like that.

But I do have concern about the lower right border - it looks like too much of the white is missing to have the cornering of an 8?

I think it's close tho - and heck - a slider 8? What does the corner look like under the loupe?

The bottom right corner will be the trigger if it doesn't get an 8. Its dinged. But all 3 other corners are very square. The bottom left may look bad becaus the bottom edge is rough, but there the corner itself is not touched.

I picked up about 400 72's about 5 years ago that are all pretty solid. I just got about 20 of them graded and got all 8's and 9's. I have never been into this set and I see there is stiff competition out there so I don't think its one I am going to venture into. I'll stick with my fb cards image

I hate issues I don't know the ins and outs. If the McRae is within an 8 for centering, I am guessing this one is too, right?

I have a Rose just like that McRae and it was graded a 6. Then again, thesame card could get an 8 the next time. image

The Dietz IA is another low pop card worth submitting ...... ( This 72 set collector needs it in an 8 or better.....)
