Teletrade being down on a non-auction night oesn't make for much of a thread.......BUT some whacky conspiracy theories on WHY it's down could be fun.

(1) eBay Meg just bought the Escala Group.
(2) While in recovery, Dave Bowers (bored with authoring books) read up on denial of service attack techniques and decided to go have some fun.
(3) They learned technology exists for maintaining realtime bid updates and are reclustering their servers with the new software.
(4) Forum copyright infringers crashed Teletrade's servers with linked out images from their auctions.
(5) They want completely new customers and are blocking access from all subnets identified with currently registered users who have logged in within the past 6 months..
