Could it 20? On any given day, half of the 15's probably could 20. Nice coin. I would like to get one just like that.

Could be, but also could be a 12. You plays the game, you takes your chances!

Maybe-Pretty close. The obverse says VF. If they decide that the PLUR in pluribus is due to strike and not wear then i would say yes VF20. There seems to be a few die cracks in that area leading me to believe that it may have been weekly struck in that area. But i think that The reverse has too many week spots to be a VF. JMHO BTW- Nice coin. Bob

Sure. On any number of submissions this could come back VF20.
    Very nice obv hair detail.

  • It's probably in the right holder at F15. It needs a little more detail in the eagle's feather for the VF designation. A quick search of the Heritage auction archives for this variety (BB-161) shows a lot have decent strikes so the strike here holds it back as well. The lower right reverse rim also is kind of weak. But, as others have said, this is a very attractive coin. Now I just hope you don't show a full photo of the slab and show PCGS has already graded it VF20!

"Fine" looks a bit too conservative to me.

LDS/TDS; probably why it appears borderline F/VF...

I bought the coin raw and only submitted it once. I am going to crack and resubmit this coin. I paid close to Vf money for it, so I really want it in a VF holder. I have looked closely at the coin when it was raw. The rim and the reeded edge have no issues whatsoever. I don't see anyway it could bodybag.

IMO this coin has just a little too much wear to be be properly called a VF specimen.

    I agree with F18.

    it's a heck of a coin as a fine 15, premium quality.

However, it looks weak as a PCGS VF20. It might slide into a VF holder there or somewhere else...

and then be a "low end" coin. You sure that's what you want?

Looks PQ for the grade, but I don't know if it is a lock for an upgrade. Also, what difference does it make if you can sell it for PQ moon money anyway?
