Ebay Final value fee recovery

If you have a buyer win a coin on ebay and then return it, what is the process for getting Ebay to refund the final fees for that auction?

Thanks

I believe that you start by filing a non-paying bidder report and stating item returned as the reason for the nonpayment.

  • Did the winner of the coin pay for it, then ship it back per your return policy?
  • This is from ebays help menu.....verbatim.......

    Full Credit

High bidder/buyer did not respond after you attempted to contact them (please allow at least seven days for them to respond).
High bidder/buyer "backed out" and didn't buy the item.
High bidder/buyer's check bounced or they placed a stop payment on it.
High bidder/buyer returned the item and you issued a refund.
High bidder/buyer could not buy the item due to family or financial emergency.
High bidder/buyer claimed the terms were unacceptable.

Go to their help page, 'final value fee' and follow it.....

    Hope this helps....

I like the part I bolded.....so many sellers state "must contact me within # of days or else..." Usually, # = 3 or something.
Ebay even says to allow for 7 days.

Too many people who think that their priority makes the same priority for someone else.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Guys, thanks for the help. The buyer bought two coins, both NGC MS66 Washingtons. He is returning one because"It has a faint golden tone and does not fit the rest of my set". Oh well, whatever.image
