Paypal end of auction shipping ?

I have been interested in using Paypals end of auction shipping tools, but I have a few questions first.

Is the Delivery confirmation the same as usps, or at least as good ? I noticed sometimes DC is free and most of the time it is under 15 cents.

When the shipping label prints out is it set to print on a Postal Shipping label , like a Priority Mail sticker or is it just set to print out on a regular sheet of 8 x 10 paper?
Will Delivery Confirmation print separately or on the first label.

I guess if someone would go step by step through the process it would help a lot, I always go to the post office to mail off my items and have never used PayPals service before.
Also not having a Postal Scale I am having to guess the weight, Would anyone knoe how much a slabbed psa card weighs in a postal priority mail video box?

Thanks !

    Okay, where to begin.

I just started using this myself recently, and it's a piece of cake.

First off, a psa card with the #000 bubble mailer weighs about 2 ounces.

When you print off a sticker through paypal, delivery confirmation is only 13 cents I believe, instead of 55 at the post office.

I guess it would print on a 8 X 10 piece of paper, then you'd have to attach it to the mailer WITHOUT covering up the bar card. Do yourself a favor and buy a package of 8X10 mailing stickers to print it off. Then it prints a label that fits on the mailer and also prints a receipt for you on the same page. You cut off the receipt and stick the address/barcode/confirmation sticker on your package.

It sure beats a long line at the post oriface. Hope this helps, if not, PM me and I'll go into more detail on how it works. Took me awhile to try it but it works like a charm, easy to do.

Big red Machine Thanks for your help

I have a stack of usps priority mail labels, I am wondering if these will work for the printing?

I am going to be trying to ship this order in usps Priority Mail video boxes, There are three cards per order.

Is the DC that is printed actually trackable through the Post Office?

Again, Thanks for your help !

I just use a regular piece of 8 x 10 paper, cut out the shipping label and tape the label to the bubble envelope (Carefull not to cover up the bar codes).

    Very easy, and fast.

It's a fantastic system. Get a radio shack usb postage scale (On ebay) and you'll rarely have go to the po ever again. Also use usps.com to get free priority mail supplies sent to your house (boxes, etc.). Paypal's system interfaces directly with usps.

Priority Mail labels will NOT work.

If you do a reasonably high volume of printing these labels I highly recommend investing in a label printer like the Zebra 2844. You can get labels on eBay really cheap (one guy who sells them has a UPS account so he just has UPS drop ship them and he pockets the money). Got the printer for about $125 used on eBay and it works like a charm (after some cleaning up).

I can give more details if anyone's interested.

Ok, Bosox I looked at the usb postal scale and it looks a lot cheaper buying directly from Radio Shack and I just live down the street from one.

Does the usps have the labels ? Because I already have an account with them.

I print on paper and use tape, but agree that if doing volume labels and/or a label printer make good sense. I though radio shack discontinued the scales - if you can find one grab it - it's a nice product for a cheap price. Someone on the boards touted them and I was pleasantly surprised.

So is the DC printed on the same page as the mailing label ? There has got to be some labels some where that will work with a regular printer.

Yes - the label is half of an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet , the receipt is the other half (landscape orientation). If you use a 8 1/2 x 11 label (i.e. 1 per sheet) you should be fine - although you will waste half of the label on the receipt.

It's great. A PSA graded card surrounded by bubble wrap and stuffed into a 5x7 padded enveloped is 1.9oz. Each additional card is 1.5oz. You have to round up per their rules. So a 4.9 oz package requires the 5oz. rate. etc.... You can buy the scale, but if your doing only PSA cards you don't really need it. image

The Bubble mailer I just did had 1 psa card wrapped in bubble wrap sandwhiched between two pieces of cardboard taped on each edge. I estimated 4oz, That should be enough, I hope. It was $1.25 w/delivery confirmation.
