FSH: SS Central America $50 restrike. make an offer

There is currently one being auctioned by Heritage and is over $4K (with juice) Mine has crystal clear mirrors and is a first day strike 08/19/2001. I have all original packaging inculding COA and special Central America screwdriver in a velvet pouch (the screwdriver has the Central America ship on it) $3600 ppd

I will be at the Chicago show on 6/23/2006 walking it around.

Why is a restrike from 2001 so expensive?

Consider the confederate half restrikes and others. Many turn out to be very valuable in time. Also 2.5 ozs of gold doesn't hurt
