Which one is better...

The first shows the semi PL surfaces..but the 2nd looks more like it.

I like the second image much better. It makes the coin kinda jump out at you. Better contrast and better lighting.

I like the second one better because the coin is more evenly lit. The first one has half the coin in the dark, and I like the even lighting.

What do you think, Mr. Bigglesworth?

I prefer images that are more accurate, even if they are not more attractive.

Second is better exposed but both need work. Try adding some sharpening and be sure of your focus.

I prefer images that are more accurate, SECOND IMAGE even if they are not more attractive.

yikes, that coin should be gushing luster everywhere!

where is it? i do not care for either pic overall.

The second has more potential but there is not nearly enough light. It should be possible to evenly distribute the light as to show all the detail including flaws as well as show off the luster.

If I had to choose between the two I would say the second. If I were to sell it using these photos I would include both as neither one seems to tell the whole story.
