SSP: UK (1901+) 1902-1970 type set in 2 Whitman albums choice/gem BU,UPDATE!

Just post to enter for the giveaway,it is independent from the items for sale below. The prize is a blazing red paisa from India,1961, certified and graded MS65RD by ICG and the winner will be chosen randomly by the end of next week.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
UPDATE 17 MARCH 2008: The set in the 2 volumes, is just about to be broken up in individual coins that will be consigned for sale.
The older and more expensive pieces will be slabbed, the rest will be sold raw. I have no clue about the fate of the albums.

If you're interested in buying it all together with the 2 albums, or one of the two (farthing to sixpence, shilling to crown, no Maundies in the first),
THIS IS THE TIME TO LET ME KNOW!

Also, there's a slight possibility that a full 1901 set in BU* will be added to them, for a really complete 1901-1970 type set.
But for the time being the 1901 set is on hold.

I can't price these coins as a set, I have no recent Spink, but if you're seriously interested YOU KNOW what it's worth and how much you're willing to pay,
so PM me your offer, either for one album or both. GO AHEAD, make any offer you want, you never know!
I tend to sell coins according to what I paid for them, not what they're worth now.

ALSO, AS AN ADDED BONUS, IF THERE'S A BUYER OF THE SET, HE WILL RECEIVE A FREE PCGS 1902 MS64RB/65RB PENNY,
NOW AT PCGS, EXPECTING IT TO GRADE MS64RB or 65RB
(the current Eddie VII penny is a 1910,
the only Eddie VII coin NOT from 1902 along with the halfpenny which is from 1903.
Therefore, with a new 1902 1/2d, a full gem 1902 set is included!(florin, sixpence and crown are PR)

end of update

the 1952 1/2d and 3d have been replaced by a choice/gem BU each, since this photo was taken,
same as with the 1902 shilling, the 1902 halfcrown and the addition of the proof 1927 crown.

image
Technically, the 1916 halfcrown is one of the lowest grades if not the lowest, of the second album.

image

Unfortunately I have much less photos of the second album, but a few extra scans can be arranged on request.
The vast majority of these come from Colin Cooke, a few from Lloyd and other members here
and only a small part from ebay or the occasional dealer at shows. Free Fedex shipping, 7 day full refund return privilege.
This is a fantastic set put together.

UPDATE: The one coin that was missing back then, is now bought, a 1927 crown NGC PF64 that I cracked out,
but I can't locate its photo. I will post the halfcrown's photo, that IS NOT in the album, but comes from the same 1927 proof set:

*If the 1901 set becomes available in the next two days, it will be this one, but with a different florin, a white attractive AU58 one.

kat,the florin is undoubtedly a matte proof, from Michael Gouby, during a short trip to London a couple of years ago. The crown is I believe MS, but I haven't seen that many to be able to tell the difference, I gave it a MS64 in the list and a PR64 to the florin.

I am of the opinion that based upon the scan/picture that it is a Matte Proof. I say this in large part based upon the sharpness of the strike and detail, combined with the general apprearence of the surfaces

This album has no opening for a Churchill crown. The last crown opening has the 1960 date underneath, to avoid any misunderstandings. image

Actually, if there are no takers in it as a whole, I will, especially if farthing sells me his wreath crown.image It's very unlikely to break it up and sell it piece by piece. I'm in the process of letting go of some coins/sets/albums, because after a recent inventory that I made, the first one since 2000, I realized that I own too many coins, much more than I should.image

    Thanx for the chance.

I'd like to win for 2 reasons.

Immigrated to the States in 61 and I don't own any coins from India.

The 1902 Crown is definately a matte proof from the picture. I like the coppers.

    Gorgeous, gorgeous.

A lot of the 1901 set puts mine to shame. Of course, you're the primary contributor to my 1901 set (Victoria's set).
