Shipping Coins

Greetings to all on this Memorial Day weekend, and special greetings to my fellow veterans and current military.

As I mentioned before, I'm gradually selling off my #4 Walker late date (33-47) set. I just shipped the first two coins sold USPS registered mail and insured. Cost was about $20. Cost of the two coins totalled in the very low five figure range. I've bought a lot of coins but haven't sold many long distance, mainly selling those I've upgraded to dealers. So, how do you experienced folks ship coins of like worth? I'll probably be shipping three more coins next week in the mid four figure range. Would you guys ship coins of that level of value Registered and Insured also? Any other safe options?

Thanx in advance for your assistance.

Steve

When you send registered insurance is included.
the value you put on the package is what it is insured for.

Insurance is NOT included in registered mail fees; it is extra but relatively cheap.

I have never had a registered, insured package

get lost or stolen. Sometimes it takes a few days

longer then expected to get where its going, but

that is a small price to pay for safe passage.
