Hey German coin experts, I need help IDing these!

I pick these up today, and I can't find them in the Krause.

What are they, and any idea what they are worth?

    Are they notgeld coins? I've never seen types like that before.

    1921 was a ripe year for Notgeld mintings... anyone know for sure...?

    It is Notgeld coinage... not sure of the mintage or value

    I agree with the Notgeld theory. In 1921 the denominations were relatively low, by 1923 they were in the millions.

    Yes, it's Notgeld. I don't have any references on Notgeld, so no information on what they are worth.

    The first piece shows the first rail in Germany build in 1835 between Nürnberg and Fürth, a 6 km distance.

    On the second piece a rail monument is depicted, it was at the railway station in Nürnberg once.

    The third shows the first locomotive in Germany, the Adler (eagle)

    Marty,

    I showed this thread to a buddy of mine who collects German notgeld and railroad exonumia. The following is what he dug up:

    All 3 pieces were issued by the City of, or the Municipal Savings Bank of, Nuremburg. They commemorate the 1st railway in Germany opened in July, 1835 from Nuremberg to Furth, approx 4 miles.

    The 200 pf: Germany's First Railway 7-12-1835, is catalogued by Lamb as Nuremberg #4-2.
    The 150 pf: "Mineral" Water Fountain (possible destination for the train) is Nuremberg #4-3.
    The 100 pf: First Locomotive in Germany is Nuremberg #4-4.

    pf = pfennig

    The pieces were part of a set of 45 depicting local scenes, monuments, fountains, buildings and people related to both cities. The other 42 pieces are octagonal shaped 20 pf catalogued as Nuremberg #4-1.1 thru 4-1.42. Mintage 10,000.

    BTW: Ron Guth's www.germancoins.com site has them for $5 each.
