Went to the Fleetcenter the other night and checked out all the retired Celtic #'s hanging from the rafter's, 21 of them. Thats a-lot right? Any of you guys know a team that has more? What team has retired the most? Maybe the Yankee's?.............

And......... if you add #42 for Jackie Robinson the yanks have 17.
Rivera is allowed to wear the number because he was using it before MLB retired Jackies number. After that no yankee will be allowed that number as well.
16 yanks have had their number retired.
Boston Celtics - 21 players
New York Yankees - 16 players
Chicago Bears - 13 players
Toronto Maple Leafs - 12 players

Very suprised that the Maple Leafs would have more than the Canadiens, the Yankees are no suprise at all.
