I picked up this coin this afternoon. I need help differentiating between the two VAMs. I have added pictures. Ideas? I think this is a 42A but am looking for some help validating. Opinions on the grade? Value? Thanks.

From what I understand reading Mark Kimpton's book is that VAM42As like yours thats show decent details of the clashed "I" are of the best ones.of this VERY tough VAM to find.
NICE SCORE!!

I have the same problem sometimes using my QX5 microscope. Sometimes they're more visible without using one at all.
OBTW, the VAM42A is one of those listed as a "SUPER CD" in Mark Kimpton's book on ELITE CLASHED MORGAN DOLLARS
