Looking for 1995 W 10th Anniversary Set....Scared of the Bay

I'm looking to get one of these sets but the thought of this major a purchase on eBay makes me crazy. Can anybody point me to a dealer with a real name, a real address, and a real phone number?

I guess I'm scared that I'd buy the set and somebody would lift the W silver eagle and replace it with a proof. If I drop 6 or 7K I want a name and somebody I can talk to or sue.

  • How long have you been having your negative fantasies ? What was the last horror (coin) story that has you so frazzled ? Not everyone (dealer, eBay seller, car salesman etc.) is a crook !

I think your a wise man personally. You should get some recomendations here I hope. You might try the buy/sell/trade board as well if you haven't already.

Purchase a set that has been housed in an NGC multiholder - they are out there. And, it's probably best that you don't float the sue thing when you are asking for advice regarding a purchase.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    why not sue?

during the 1800s people used to sue over a mule.
they sued at double the rate we do now! shocking huh.
    darn stats.

i also think he is wise. if you plan to drop 1000s of dollars,
darn right you should ask here for a trusted dealer.

well done. i hope someone can help you out JJ.

Obviously I don't want to sue anyone. But I also don't want to buy something that costs 7K from a moniker on eBay. I'll pick up things that aren't too expensive on the Bay and I just bought a $1300 Silver Eagle Set but I bought it from a dealer who I've bought from before.

I want to deal with a real person on this purchase. That's all.

this is the second thread in as many days that you probably should have posted on the BST board. But now with the "S" word floating around you may not find many takers there either. image

I think you'd be crazy to spend retail money on anything that is unseen at the time of purchase.

See if Moderncoinmart has one for sale on eBay. He's very reputable and handles high priced moderns without problem. Don't fret at ALL about being worried about it; you'd be stupid if you weren't.

  • Mention the word "sue" and you get blasted here--been there, done that!

Go to a major coin show--you should have a few to chose from and can buy "sight seen" and take immediate delivery if you bring cash or pay by check and are known to the dealer or have another dealer at the show who will vouch for you.
  • ONLY THING ON EBAY ABOUT THIS SET RIGHT NOW IS ONE PERSON SELLING THE PACKAGING....NO COINS, JUST EMPTY BOX.....WHAT A DEAL HE'S GOT GOING......
