Quick question.... how much are dealers paying for silver dollars?

How much are dealers paying today for silver dollars?
Have a friend with a couple hundred, nothing special.
How much can I tell him he should get for each?

Depends on where you go. As an "average", you can expect $13 for 1921 Morgans and Peace Dollars, and $14 for circulated pre-21 Morgans. That's for common date, average circulated. Note however that the price for silver dollars is directly tied to the daily spot price for silver. With anything that you are selling, always call around and get 4 or 5 estimates over the phone. That can be done with generic items such as silver dollars.

although i'm no pro by any means it would seem your key word in your question is "dealer".current silver price dictates around $9.to $10. of silver in them and a dealer uses a "bid or ask" standard with overhead in his pricing.my own experience tells me ebay offers best potential for getting a fair price if you end your auction during a studied "best day of week and time frame".with that being stated my guess is a dealer will offer your friend a low so he can sell high.my guess on what your friend will be offered at a dealer is 8 to 9 times face whereas ebay he can acquire 12 times plus by becoming his own dealer and having his own "ask price" rather then selling into a "bid" price
