What would you estimate is a reasonable price for a PSA 8 common in this set? A PSA 9?

Dirt Cheap if you ask me.
Would be a great time to jump in and start a set

This common PSA 9 went for $80
its a 1/3.
I bet all of yours were high pop.

Basically burker, if you have a low pop 8 or 9 people may pay a little more for it than if there are 20 9's and 50 8's.
Its not a popular set right now and I am not sure if it will be anytime soon. Low pops usually sell at a premium and a 9 going for only $80 with a pop of 3 means that there aren't many people actively collecting it. Treetop is right that its a good time to buy, but just saying that 9's go for $9-$14 is uninformed.

<< <i>Ive picked up several yankees in PSA 9 for around $10 recently. I havnt checked pop reports on them though, so dunno if that helps >>
Nice price! But as stated before check Ebay, I have paid $8-10 for some PSA 8s and about $12-15+ for PSA 9s.
Your lucky if 5 perecent (excluding HOF's) ever hit $80 for a PSA 9. I've sold over 500 PSA 9's in the past 2 years, sell direct to many on the registery and VERY FEW break 30 bucks. you could pick up 300- 400 of this set in 9 for under $15 each.
This set has always been a sleeper. Not many involved, but a High end well centered 9 or 10 is a very attractive card. Kind of grows on you.

I agree. It is very affordable. PSA 8's will not even get your grading fee's back. 8's are really nice cards, too bad they do not get much love.
