And the lessons I'm learning about imaging toners.
First, take the darned coin out of the 2x2 or you'll get shots like this one:
And this one:
Next, don't forget to get an image of BOTH sides of the coin.
Then, rig up some way to hold the camera absolutely still as you shoot so you don't get slightly blurred images like this one:
Or this one:
Keep in mind that a nice rainbow is a tricky thing to capture. It's all about taking care to get the lighting just right--which I clearly didn't in the case of this upcaptured beauty:
And it helps to get ENOUGH light on the subject so you don't wind up with a shot like this:
These were all shot on film, since only my film camera has a macro setting. Needless to say, it's disappointing to pay for the developing and find a bunch of shots like these!
Most important lesson of all: It's time to invest in a digital camera that has good macro capabilities.
