1966 Leaf Good Guys & Bad Guys

Is there any reason for the lack of popularity/interest in this issue? There is a solid checklist and the cards have informative backs.

I have a set of them and I enjoy them, but the artwork isn't great, nor is the card stock. I don't remember them in 1966 (?) and distribution is everything with this vintage of nonsports. If not many people collected them 40 years ago, there's not going to be a lot of demand for them today. Leaf didn't have major distribution in my neck of the woods (rural place called Southern California) back in '66.
