My vote, without a doubt, goes to Cacheman's tribute to Karl X. Goetz. An amazing website

    If there are any better image galleries I haven't seen them yet. Cacheman's images are superb, the layout is excellent, and the medals are magnificent! I second pontiacinf's Wow!

    If you have a chance, search for the original post(s) by Cacheman. They include a discription of the medal and some historical context concerning the time period the medal was cast. Always an enjoyable read!!

    Relayer - what I love about Goetz work is his satirical nature. Many of his designs are like newspaper caricatures, captured on a coin.

    The Goetz medal I'd like to know more about is this one. This is the most disturbing medal on the site.

    Cacheman is among the best I have seen... terrific images.

    Having said that, there are others here that are outstanding as well...

    In my book Cacheman is top of the line, not only with his pics and his collection, but most importantly with his wealth of knowledge.


    Plus I really like his avitar, bring back lots a good memories.
