Can cross at any grade coins be bagged?

This is the first time I will be submitting coins. I was thinking about trying to cross some NGC coins over to PCGS using the cross at any grade option. Has anyone ever received a bodybag from PCGS in this situation? Or will PCGS return any problem coins to me in their original holder?

I suppose it is possible that PCGS might look at a coin & think it's crossable, then crack it out to find something they don't like about the rim. Damage, alteration, etc. Likely, no.
But there's always a possibility.

Someone once asked DH this in the Q&A, if I recall. I believe that the answer was to the effect that in the last 20 years this has happened a handful or dozen or so times in a scenario like ms70 suggests, and PCGS will make some kind of a financial settlement to the buyer when it does. He also indicated that try to be really, really sure that they will cross the coin before they crack the slab and error on the side of not cracking if there is any question, especially for high-grade/high-value coins.

Thanks for the answers, that's good to know. The coins I'm submitting are of relatively high value (to me at least) and even though I am confident they should cross with no problem, you never really know what goes on in the grading room. I didn't want to take a chance of getting a bodybag, at least I know I'll still receive the coin back still in the NGC holder.
