Haven't heard anything in a month and was wondering if it was growing legs. The support is largely coming from San Diego County lesser cities' mayors and councilmen and could have profound ramifications for the coin trade if it passes.

Got an e-mail from Sharon Runners staff after emailing my concerns about this that "she understands my concerns blah, blah, blah" but have not heard anything else recently.
IMHO as law Enforcement I have better things to do than Police coin dealers, If I remember correctly It's pawn shop owners who want this passed---Tom

Yeah, pawn dealers are primary and it'll hurt little guys. It will be a huge burden for law enforcement. The biggest problem is the DoJ database. This paves the way for the whole nation to give more information to the federal government than necessary or right.
