Early "S" mints are all semi PL which is why they don't get the PL designation unless their mirrors are deeper than most coins

Its an 81-S and I will agree that most are PL but this one is much more than ANY I have ever seen!

The obverse devices are white and the fields look like a mixture of chrome and liquid mercury. Its gorgeous!

PL plus toning equals great pop and eye appeal......I have a few and they are something to see. I have never been able to acquire a DMPL with color.......they must be awe inspiring

What's the current grade and what grade are you hoping for? And when does it hit the BST forum?

Its currently MS65. Its a high-end 65 and I definately think it deserves a PL. I think I may actually send this one to NGC though for the possible star. I doubt if it will hit the BST though. It might go up on my site or into my collection, I have yet to decide.
