This is a mural made out of cardboard with a wood frame and is held together by staples. Origin is unknown, Artist is unknown, where it was displayed up until now is unknown. He drew it, and it was recently displayed in his garage.
I like the comment "About 15 years ago the owner offered the Baseball Hall of Fame the right to display the mural in exchange for some minor restoration and they politely refused..... and suggested that it be donated to their collection."
The HOF was just looking to put it out of it's misery...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
I wouldn't take that ugly monster if he offered it to me for the cost of shipping. That is funny stuff. I think it has a future as a backstop at some rural little league field.
It definitely has a "dogs playing poker" look to it but I dont think its a terrible pic. I've seen worse ones created by people who honestly believe that they have talent.

Yup, spelled Gehrig wrong, something one wouldn't expect from an unknown artist
I like the way he describes it to be from 1900 to 1949
