Can I get $150 out of these 10 coins?

So I am looking for opinions. Do you think I can get $150 out of these 10 coins? More? Less?

Sell all at once or sell individually?

Here some scans.

My guess would be that you could probably sell the group for just below spot. I'd say $110-120 is more probable.

Wow I had hoped for better news. These were one of my first purchases in the hobby and I must have overpaid.

    More opinions welcomed.

Rob, you can ask this over the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. See what they say.

One of your 1925 Peace dollars lookslike it might possibly be a Top-50 variety (VAM-5). Chexk to see if there is a ray missing right behind the leg feathers. (Compare the two that you have.) It's impossible to tell from your pic though. If so, it has a premium that varies with the grade.

It may be harsh to describe coins as "junk" silver dollars... Sorry for that, and they aren't really junk... But I'd buy these all day at $7.00 or so just walking into a coin shop. Now, with silver up, they may go $10-$12 each.

People like bulk silver on e-bay. You might get $150 or close to it. But after fees it will be considerably less. image

imo its around 100 or so on ebay after the fees, try listing them at one cent start mayby do 2 groups of 5 might do a little better

Most or all look like formerly cleaned and retoned (naturally that is)...basically culls in my book...just worth the silver about 10 or 11 bucks each.

  • Very few collectors start out making educated decisions in their first coin purchases, I overpaid on my initial coins also. I look back on it now as a cheap lesson. I didn't learn what a good value was until I discovered what a bad one was first.

As everyone has said, probably silver value, but the wisdom gained is invaluable.

If that's an 1899-P (looks like no mintmark) that is a better date, even in lower grade, it is worth a good amount even in low grade (maybe $50 to $75). The 1892 is worth maybe a small $5 to $8 premium. The 1884 maybe a $2 or $4 over melt. The Peace dollars about $1 over melt. I'd list each Morgan separately and the Peace dollars as a lot.

The PCGS guide shows $100 for the 1899-P in VF.
  • I'm seeing mint marks on all the Morgans, and that 1899 is no VF. I'd call it a VG, I think. Oh, and no, I think $150 is a little optimistic for these ten coins. image

I think $150 is cheap. The 1899 Morgan even in VG has a greysheet bid of 105. Add a minimum of $10 for the rest of the coins. I would say $195 Minimum.

I can't believe bid id more than half of that. Nonetheless, all three Morgans are clearly New Orleans mintmarked.

Yes, I think so, but demand won't come from people on these boards.
As a matter of opinion, I think the thought of selling at 15 bucks per piece is quite workable . I imagine next year at this time, the question might be : " can I buy five of these back for $150 ? "

Did everyone forget what metals are doing ? I was notified last month that I am having a 6% increase in steel roofing materials.

We are talking SILVER, here image...the most undervalued of all precious metals.

The 1899 in the poster's image is a New Orleans mintmark, as are the other three Morgans.

Does the '92 have a Mintmark?
    I collect circulated U.S. silver

The 92 is an (o) mint as well are all the morgans.

If your '99-O is the "Micro-O" Variety, it would bring a premium....but not much of one in the condition its' in. Full retail in VF condition is around $75 and yours looks to be around VG
