I like the look of BGS cases personally, that and they breakdown the grade.

because its about sharing grades with other collectors. does it matter what holder there in.

some people like blonds some like brunettes & i choose to send most of my cards to bgs because there modern.

then again i did send cards to psa for the 1st time in 3 years & my grades still arent done within the guaranteed time!

Nice grades!

The only guy I don't like posting other companies stuff is southern cards. Not because I dislike SGC, but because he seems to have an agenda to smeer all things PSA in an attempt to push his interests on us all.

i'm sorry but if a company offers a guarantee i would expect them to honor it.

edited to add - i also see that PSA did end up meeting the guaranteed turnaround time..

the difference is, that southerncards only posts about SGC in a way to put down PSA, and he doesnt post his grades, he only posts links to the SGC website and message boards, in an attempt to promote SGC..

and he's highly annoying..

I agree. I know a hate when PSA does certain stuff, like not adhere to the gaurantee or take 1week+ to enter submissions after they were delivered there. Don't sweat these guys as this is a card board and while many prefer PSA, you surely are permitted to participate and have a different choice.

Do you think BGS scrutinizes the star cards more? I think PSA is guilty of that at times. I have sent in 50 cards from the same case and they whack the stars that look on par with the semi's or commons. I know I'm probably conspiracy theoring(?) but I have had that happen a few times.

Who cares that this is a PSA forum and he's posting BGS grades. A forum is about sharing and learning other folks thoughts, as well as a place to spew your own.

I don't collect any PSA graded cards, but I still enjoy coming here.

Missed one eagle eye, but the 10 offsets it - 29 card submission averaging GEM MINT. Damn fine submission.

I only collect PSA graded cards. That being said, I don't mind when those who favor other companies come to our board and share their grades, opinions, etc....as long as they don't come over here bashing. Some people like other grading companies better. That is fine by me. There are a lot of fine collectors who use BGS, SGC, etc. Unfortunately, there are also a few jerks. I think this may be true of a couple of guys on our side too. Once in a while anyway....

To me, a person who visits a PSA board and constantly bashes PSA is just trying to be a jerk. A guy who just wants to share his grades or whatever is cool by me.

I am a firm believer that regardless of which of the top three graders you prefer it is important that all three of them (PSA/SGC/Beckett) be there so that competition for collectors dollars keeps them on their toes. Even the most diehard fan of any of these companies has to realize that if one or two of them fold up shop the one that's left standing would more than likely suffer serious quality control problems within a short amount of time. A monopoly on card grading is not something that any of us should want to come about. Beside as I have seen stated here on these very boards always buy the card and not the holder. I will say unequivocally that the PSA message boards are without a doubt the most informative and thought provoking of all the registry's and is probably the primary reason that collectors post competitors grades here.

Just landed in Las Vegas tonight. I plan on having some serious fun this weekend watching Gracie fight at the Staples Center. He will prove why he owns the Octagon.

i will NEVER rent ufc -ish again, horrible fights and joe rogan needs a beatdown as well.

pride and k1 offer much higher, polished talent, and the broadcasting isn't so sensationalized.

Those are some solid grades - but then again, for modern, anything lower than a 9 would be the kiss of death.

I can see the point on this being a PSA board but for me personally, it doesn't matter if it's a BGS, SGC or GAI if someone is proud of their results.

Now, it would be different when someone comes here with a 'hidden agenda' and only wants to further that aspect.
