SilverTowne impacted by Coin Vault closing

Coin World reported today that David Hendrickson of SilverTowne supplier of all of the Coin Vaults segments coin products would be greatly impacted by the shows closing. I was naive enough to think that R.Chambers Morgan coin hoards came from the Alaska hoard , the Tenn. Morgans etc. actually came from the named places and not from SilverTowne---what a bummer !

If the article indicated that SilverTowne was the supplier of all of the product sold on Voin Vault, the author is misinformed.

I would think the coin vault would get moved to some other channel or so, if they did $100 million in sales last year.....

That is just not going to go away.....

According to the article, which I would post but have been told in the past by Carol not to copy anything from CW to the forum even if I acknowledge CW as the owner, Coin Vault was a time slot and not a program unto itself. So it cannot be moved to another venue. It's all on page 3 of the 06/05 CW.

What's this? My gold plated quarter hoard isn't worth anything? Tell me it isn't so.

It's true, it's true. You should have started a waffle coin registry set instead. image

  • I heard it on good authority from Robert Chambers (every night) that they searched the country to secure the great coins they had for sale. Was i misled again ?

Silvertowne will survive just fine with or without Shop-at-Home. They are almost the exclusive suppliers of material for the television coin sales companies. About 70% of the total UPS, FedEx and USPS business in Winchester, IN originate to or from Silvertowne.

Coin World is very touchy about copyright violations. The latest issue's editorial discusses this very subject.

I think Autoship is the other network show HNS or HSN or whatever they call themselves
