What's going on with these 2 coins? It's rediculous the way the prices for these coins have shot up over night. These are not rare coins or condition rarities. They are constantly and easily available, with many to choose from. Until fairly recently the going price was right about $500 each. (Slightly more for a 37-S) Over night it seems they shot up - the grey sheet prices sky rocketed - bids for them on Teletrade went from the $500 range to the almost $900 range. Anyone that pays that strong money for one of these coins will have to hold it quite awhile I think.
I say all this knowing intimately, and following very closely, the hot coin market. Still these prices are just silly, beyond moon money.

<< <i>Probably the beginning (or more likely middle if bids are up that drastically) of another well managed walker promotion. They occur every two years or so. The last one ended about 2 years ago, so another one is about due. However, usually it occurs with the 41-47 dates. Be high bidder on a common or semi common date coin(s), buy up a good portion of the available supply, then materially increase bids, then selectively sell into the higher (artificial) market level. Bids fall when promoter is done selling and exits that particular market segment. >>
I've heard about stuff like this. But I have never been able to track it so directly.

Nice, I like Walkers, especially PQ Walkers.
