All other things equal (feedback, etc.) - is it more comforting to buy from a seller with the "Power Seller" designation than not?

Also... one piece of advise I have for ya.... if you have ANY DOUBT in the seller... email them. Use the "ask the seller a question" link and see if they respond. Usually, if they won't respond to your question, that's a pretty good clue how they'll treat you throughout the process. If they do respond but with a short/rude response... pass it on and keep looking. Most genuine sellers actually care about their sales, and do a better job of taking care of the buyer.

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!
<< <i>I have to agree with poppie. I've seen several "powersellers" that shill their own auctions up just to meet the minimum sales volume requirements. I'm not a power seller, but have been asked a few times (by Ebay.) I just don't want to HAVE to keep selling a minimum amount monthly. Feedback is pretty tough to beat.

Couldnt have said it better myself........
It is not really that hard to gain or keep the logo depending on what type items you sell, some items will make you work alot harder than others.
A drawback is there are many buyers who simply refuse to buy from a Power Seller because they feel that being a PS equals a more automated and less personal experience. In many cases that is true.

That is the only value to me also !
I have never had to use them, but hopefully they are better informed than the Live Help people. There is one CS agent on Live Help that is still telling memebers that in order to sell on Ebay and take Paypal you do not have to accept Credit cards. That has been untrue since August 2005.
Another person on one of the Ebay boards was saying they were told they could use bidpay and another mean of accecpting payment.
